Apa sau „satul dintre ape”, după cum îi mai spuneau străbunii, a fost atestată documentar acum aproximativ opt secole. Localitatea Apa este printre așezările traco-dacice importante din nord-vestul Transilvaniei.
Aici s-a născut preotul dr. Vasile Lucaciu, militant de seamă pentru drepturile românilor.
The water or the "village between the waters", as the ancestors called it, was documented about eight centuries ago. The town of Apa is among the important Thracian-Dacian settlements in northwestern Transylvania.
This is where the priest Dr. Vasile Lucaciu, prominent militant for the rights of Romanians, was born.
